Key Focus Areas
This intensive weekend course offers a new way to approach the Sirah. Instructors use short video clips from the Omar Series as primary source material for in depth exploration. These meticulously researched and professionally produced videos set the historical context for seventh century Arabia and identify leading characters in the life of the Prophet (s). Structured classroom discussions are designed to isolate the primary lessons from the selected scenes and make them relevant for our everyday lives. If you are concerned about your relationship to the Prophet (s) and find it difficult to contemporize his legacy in the modern world, then this course is for you. Designed specifically for faith leaders, school teachers, or lifelong learners, this multi-modal course provides robust conceptual frameworks–using triadic logic with an appreciation of multiple learning styles–to take your understanding of the Sirah and relationship to the Prophet (s) to the next level, bringing the timeless wisdom of the Sirah back into our lives.
